Hello! We have had a busy few weeks since our last post in June, filled with a successful fundraiser, speaking at a local Vacation Bible School, meeting with friends and family and a fun 4 days in Lake Tahoe with Ambers family. We continue to be blessed by your support, encouragement and prayers as we prepare to move to Tanzania. It is exciting to see the Lord take care of us in every aspect of life….physcically, spiritually, emotionally and relationally. Thank you for walking alongside of us!

The One who calls you is faithful, and He will do it. 1 Thes 5:24

Many of you know that we had a goal (given by ReachGlobal, our sending organization) to be at 50% of our monthly committed support by June 30th in order to be able to attend the fall online and live training that is needed before we leave for the field. PRAISE THE LORD, we met that goal! By 10 o’clock on the 30th, we were at 52% of our monthly committed support. THANK YOU to all our partners for your generosity and your willingness to support the efforts of our ministry. We thank the lord for placing in your heart the desire and commitment to join us in the advancement of the Gospel of Christ in Tanzania.

Farm aid fundraiser

We had 80 people attend our Farm Aide Fundraiser last month. It was a lovely evening of amazing food, great fellowship and the opportunity to share God’s call on our lives and invite others to join with us. It was a huge success! Thank you to our dear friends Scott and Rebecca who put this event on for us. Kids Goal

Kids Goal-2

When we took our Vision trip in May, we evaluated two cities and teams, one in Dar Es Salaam and one in Arusha. We wanted to evaluate them equally and be open to God’s leading, but in our own minds we were pretty certain it was Arusha that we were called to. To our surprise, we left Tanzania with a complete PEACE about moving to Dar Es Salaam to join the Dar City team who are equipping national pastors, church planting, reaching unreached people groups and have a strategic effort to reach the city of Dar (through nationals, churches and missions organizations) with the love of Christ. It is exciting to see all of these pieces come together. We trust and obey the Lord calling us here. city

WHAT IS NEXT FOR OUR FAMILY???

Here is what the remainder of 2015 looks like for us as we prepare for missions in Tanzania:

*Meeting with potential ministry partners/supporters, both individuals and churches as we work to reach 100% of our monthly support.

Our family is praying for partners, or “coworkers”, who will commit to pray, provide, and participate with us in what God is doing in Dar es Salaam. God is up to something great and we are confident that He wants to involve even more of His people in this work.

We are encouraged by the Apostle Paul who often wrote to his partners to ask for their prayers (Colossians 4:2-6), to ask for financial assistance (Romans 15:22-28), or to thank them (Philippians 4:10-20) for joining him in God’s work. Paul wasn’t asking for money to be rich but to be “fully supplied” so that he could accomplish the work God had given him to do. He believed the partners that came alongside of him would be blessed for their partnership as evidenced by his words to the church at Philippi, “Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that is increasing to your account.” (Philippians 4:17)  We are confident that YOU will be blessed as well as we share together in the work and the reward of the great commission. Will you prayerfully consider partnering with us? Head over HERE to get involved.

*Taking 2 Pre-Field Training Online classes as well as attending a 9 day Pre-Field Live training in Minnesota this October. Our children will be attending this one with us!

*Spending as much time as we can with friends and family as we will MISS YOU ALL greatly once we leave. Our first term will likely be 3 years. As much face to face (heart to heart) time we can have before we leave, the better!

*When the Lord decides its time (we must be 100% monthly supported) moving to Tanzania and beginning our language learning, ministry in Dar, and kids in school. (They will attend HOPAC international school)

FamilyWe have been asked by many individuals if we will be having any more dessert Share Times this summer/fall and the answer is YES! Our next two are planned for August 4th at 6:30 p.m and August 27th at 6:30 p.m. Please send us an email if you are available to join us and we will get you the Modesto address (amber.grover@efca.org) We look forward to spending time with you!
